Goat Cay Faith Hill Tim Mcgraw
Nashville’s sweetheart couple, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, bought Goat Island in 2008 as a place for friends and family to share.
Tim McGraw says “the isolation is good for me”. He may be able to escape his fans and paparazzi but the island chain in the Exumas is a celebrity hotspot – their neighbours include magician David Copperfield, Tyler Perry, and Johnny Depp. Tim and Faith are nearly finished construction on their 17 acre island, Goat Cay in the Bahamas. The plantation style main house has a lookout tower surrounded by three smaller homes for staff and family.
Faith and Tim met on the aptly named Spontaneous Combustion tour in 1996. Faith was the opening act. He proposed to her near the end of the tour during a performance and shortly after the tour ended, they were married. Between the two of them, the husband-and-wife duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have sold over 80 million albums and notched almost 30 number one singles on the country charts.Even though the couple seems perpetually happy, if you ask Tim McGraw what would happen if there was a fight between him and his smoking hot wife, he says, “I’d become shark meat”.
McGraw’s first single was titled “Welcome to the Club”. Little did he know back then that he’d become a country sensation and a private island owner. Welcome to the club indeed. And now they seem to have it all: looks, family, money, a solid marriage… and a private island! As a couple, they’ve dominated country charts with romantic duos like “Let’s Make Love” and “It’s Your Love.” It would seem their songs are inspired by real life. They vowed never to spend more than three consecutive days apart.
